Welcome to iDANCE!

As you may agree, dance is a very word-of-mouth experience that doesn’t have much concrete representation. This can make crucial dance knowledge misunderstood, intimidating, and inaccessible to dancers and bystanders alike. This includes things like networking; preparing for auditions; etiquette in a professional, or street environment...

We know there are bloggers/creators beginning to share these things, but it can be difficult for those dancers’ voices to reach widely. We wanted to create a resource that dancers can rely on for inspiration, education, and community.

The online community is only increasing, we wanted to make sure dance has a home, a hub in this vast, yet extraordinary web.

That leads us here. A digital dance collective; iDANCE, a channel where dancers of all kinds can create and share their content in one place.

OUR MISSION

iDANCE is a social media based community building the essential networks for dancers. Through sharing personal stories of dancers from all parts of the world, empathy is honed for the diverse individuals in our communities and the art they create. We encourage diversity and push to share perspectives from all cultures and backgrounds.

iDANCE is founded on 3 pillars

to CONNECT, EDUCATE, and INSPIRE

iDANCE CONNECTs people together, EDUCATEs artists on the tools they need as dancers, and INSPIREs dancers through shared experiences in their pursuit of movement art. No matter what stage, tell the world iDANCE!

THE 3 PILLARS

EDUCATE

Education stands as a cornerstone of our mission. We aim to promote understanding of the arts and to provide clarity on the essence of dance. Our approach to education involves sharing personal stories and building connections with fellow artists. By showcasing our individual areas of expertise, we enable the audience to relate and find resonance with their own experiences. Through personal narratives, we highlight the uniqueness of each journey, allowing audiences to explore and identify with various niches within the dance community.

CONNECT

Connection is the first pillar of iDANCE. We connect with one another through not social media, but though community. Connection could come from making a relatable content to expressing who you are as an artist. We connect with both our audience and our iDANCER community. We also uplift our personal communities though sharing these experiences.

INSPIRE

Finally, there's inspiration—a key element both driving our content and anticipated outcome. Our aim is to inspire our audience, fostering a sense of safety and validation within the dance community. We curate content that showcases inspirational stories, aiming to alleviate any sense of isolation among our viewers as they navigate the world of arts.

Ultimately, our goal is for every viewer of iDANCE to depart feeling not only inspired but also equipped and supported in their journey as dancers.

Isabela earned her degree from the University of California, Irvine, specializing in dance performance, choreography, and psychology. Her research focused on the therapeutic applications of dance improvisation, merging her passion for movement with healing practices. Presently, she serves as a Pilates instructor at Equinox and as a dancer for Disney.

Additionally, she co-founded the iDANCE channel, actively nurturing its community through curated in-person events and fostering the growth of the iDANCE family.

Isabela grew up in Palm Springs California in an interracial household and speaks both English and Spanish. She hopes to inspire others to pursue their career in the arts. She originally started dance when she was 2 doing ballet and tap, but as she went though university, her love shifted to more modern/contemporary movement. She hopes that iDANCE can be a safe space and helpful tool for dancers and artists of all kinds to be their authentic selves and have a community no matter where they go.
